The sincerest form of flattery, I guess
A front-page story in today's Lewiston Sun Journal on "Weird Maine inventions" seems oddly familiar, right down to the illustrations used and examples chosen. There are some differences, though. I wrote that "no fewer than six patents for cow-tail holders were issued between 1890 and 1936." She was able to find "No fewer than seven cow-tail holders" patented between 1889 to 1936. That's why I'll never be a professional journalist.
