Some issues have arisen in the Auburn trial of Daniel Roberts that go beyond the existing concerns with juror responses to screening queries by lawyers from both sides.
The Lewiston Sun Journal reports, "After the jury was dismissed at the end of the day, Justice Joyce Wheeler told those attending the trial that some of the jurors had become aware that people in back-row seating were staring at them, apparently making them uncomfortable."
The Sun Journal goes on to remind readers that "Roberts was once leader of a local Hells Angels chapter." Yeah, the possibility of that type of thing might make the jurors, and the judge, a little nervous.
