As Chris D reports over on his blog AllThingsMaine, a Biddeford man has thrown over the ephemeral print ad industry with an auction of a permanent tattoo ad to be inked onto the back of his own neck. The auction is running on Ebay, and was up to about $800 when I checked this afternoon. [NOTE: As of 11:00am EST 1/18/06, it was up over $2000! I wonder what his reserve price is, because it hasn't been met yet...]
Not only is he enterprising, but he is also the owner of weirdebay.com, a great idea if there ever was one.
I'll be curious to see how this one turns out!
