Sun Pillar over Bangor
The Astronomy Picture of the Day is a great photo of an atmospheric phenomenon... the sun pillar. This one was spotted over Bangor sometime last month.

Nice! Wow, reminds me of the wild experience of seeing a sundog over Back Bay last summer.
